Almost Imbolc event this Saturday – the details (for those who have tickets only)
Imbolc is nearly here! The tickets have sold and we are ready to go. Tickets were sent in the post, if you have misplaced yours, there will be someone with a list on the door, please just state your name when you arrive.
Here is a reminder of the details for those people who are intending our event on Saturday June 28th. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF ANY LOCATION, JUST COME TO THE MUSEUM AND WE WILL HELP YOU: EVERYTHING IS EITHER IN THE MUSEUM OR IN THE NATIONAL TRUST VISITORS CENTRE NEXT DOOR.
For those attending craft workshops during the day:
You will receive an email telling if you are in Group 1 or Group 2.
10am – 12.30pm
Group 1: Bride’s Crosses workshop in National Trust Visitors Centre with Gillian Nott
Group 2: Wool Workshop in Museum library with Tracey Norman
12.30-1.30pm LUNCH (not provided but cafes nearby)
1.30 – 4.00pm

Group 2: Bride’s Crosses workshop in National Trust Visitors Centre with Gillian Nott
Timings and general information for anyone attending the daytime and evening events:
4.30-6pm: Museum open (free for those attending this event)
From 6pm: Arrive in NT visitor centre café: drinks available to buy (cash or card payment), pass through a Bride’s girdle and also lay a present/offering at a Bed of Bride (a piece of glass or shell is traditional but it can be anything small).
6.15 – 7.15pm Talk by Cheryl Straffon on “Bridgit: Goddess of Imbolc”
From 7.30pm Live music by Inkubbus Sukkubus
Parking: please park in the main Boscastle car park. None of the parking spaces outside the Museum are for public use.
Toilets: there will be port a loos outside the Museum. It would be advisable to use the toilets in the main car park before arriving at the event.
Food: no food is provided at the event. Snacks and drinks only will be available from the National Trust cafe. It is recommended that you eat before you arrive at the event.
Stalls and shopping: The Museum shop will be open when the Museum is (we take card and cash). Cheryl Straffon and Inkubbus Sukkubus will also have stalls at the evening event (we don’t know for certain but this will probably be cash only).
Sunday: The Museum will be closed on Sunday and at all other times except for those already stated above.
