Wonderful three volume book donation
We received a lovely email at the end of last year, here is what it said:
I’ve recently published a three volume series of books revolving around the 1665 edition of Reginald Scot’s “Discoverie of Witchcraft”. I like and appreciate what the Museum does, so I’ve placed an order for a hardcover copy of the set to be sent to you, which should arrive in January.
The volumes center on the anonymous additions made to the 1665 edition, with Volume 1 being my analysis of it, Volume 2 containing the text itself as well as related texts from Scot’s original Discoverie, and Volume 3 containing reprints of texts from Agrippa and others that I felt would help in understanding the material.
Anyways, a library accessible to researchers would be a great place for the books to live.
