Elaborate choker-style necklace made of jet beads, with a square brass clasp.

130 mm diam when fastened. The band of beads is 12mm across, 5mm deep.
Information:

Part of a collection of gemstone jewellery that belonged to Julia Pearce. She also had several books on the magical and healing properties of crystals and gemstones, now in the museum library.

Jet is a very magically significant stone - see 1568, 1845, 2735, 2871, 2879, 2890.
