Mano Cornuto Hand Amulet Pendant
Based on amulets on display in the Museum.
This extremely unusual pendant is part of our line of exclusive magical jewellery based on objects in our collection.
It is a pewter version of an amulet made from the jaws of a small animal. These amulets – featuring scary teeth – were traditionally used as protection against witchcraft (particularly witchcraft intended to cause impotence).
The amulet is approximately 3cm (1.25″) tall, 1.5cm (0.5″) wide, and 1.75cm (0.75″) deep. It has a chain approximately 48cm (19″) long. Boxed.
