A filigree crescent-shaped pendant made of pewter.
A square pink embroidered fabric badge, featuring magical symbols and a hand holding a sword.
It is based on a needlepoint talisman in the Museum’s collection, which was made by Mrs A Dodsworth in the 1960s.
The design is taken from the 18th century book of magic ‘The Black Pullet’, and the talisman is said to “give good fortune in any lottery”.
The badge is approximately 7.5cm x 7.5cm (3″ x 3″), and can be ironed or stitched onto your bag or clothes.
