Hand of Glory Poster
Based on a sign from the early days of the museum.
Based on a watercolour by Vivienne Shanley on display in the Museum, this is a wonderfully atmospheric poster, showing Boscastle’s outer harbour at night. Moonlight and a faint trace of sunset on the horizon bring out the subtle colours of the clifftops and glitter on the breaking waves. It is a moment before the viewer realises that the swirling clouds are not just random shapes – are those witches, riding across the sky?
The poster is approximately 30cm (12″) tall and 42cm (16.5″) wide, and is packaged in a cardboard tube.
