Museum Objects T-Shirt
A white t-shirt featuring colourful, humorous pictures of objects in the Museum.
“…come to know [yourself] as the the Child ever-living, sinless, perfect, the all-shining Sun.” Aleister Crowley on Horus
The image on our 2018 T shirt is adapted from one drawn by Steffi Grant (which appears in our Ritual Magic exhibition Dew of Heaven and is pictured below). It is a black t-shirt with a dramatic red design of a left eye (similar to an Ancient Egyptian symbol known as the eye of Horus) within a triangle and sunburst.
The t-shirt also has the Museum’s name and twig wand logo in red on the back.
This symbol appeared on the cover of the Equinox (a journal published by Aleister Crowley). The symbol also appears on the hoods of the robes of members of the OTO (a magical order) and Crowley himself had one on his ceremonial hat.
In 1904, Crowley received the Book of the Law from the discarnate entity Aiwass. This is when the Age (or Aeon) of Horus began.
“The Aeon of Horus is here…the best men again set out with eager eyes upon the Path of the Wise…” Aleister Crowley
