Friends Event with Maxine Sanders and more!

Every year the Friends of the Museum meet up in Boscastle for their AGM. It is a chance to hear about the Museums’ future plans and vote for trustees to help the running of the charity.

The Friends also put on a day of events and talks to tickle your fancy.  This year is extra special – it is 20 years since the Friends was set up, and to celebrate we have a fabulous line up of speakers for the morning session. Geraldine Beskin of Atlantis books will give a talk on ‘Dark Christmas’ and this is then followed by a Q+A session with Maxine Sanders!  Maxine and a dedicated team have been working on a project to restore her lost legacy and so it’s likely to be both a fascinating and controversial morning! Attendees are asked to prepare questions before hand…

To attend, you need to be a fully paid up member of the Friends’ organisation.  You can join online here: or by filling out a paper form in the Museum.  You can also join or re-join on the day itself.  As usual in the evening there will be an informal get together in the Wellington bar / restaurant area.

Hope to see you then!
