Strange Encounters: The Folklore and Magic of the Horse

The Face in the Trees present The Folklore and Magic of the Horse. Saturday 25th May 2019 at the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, Boscastle.

In a slight change to the previously advertised workshop, coming up at the wonderful Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, we are pleased to offer a special one-off  Face in the Trees ‘lite’ workshop. We will immerse ourselves in ancient Horse Power and Magic, hear folklore and tales about our ancestral relationship with these beautiful animals, and make very special silver and amber Horse prayer beads to connect ourselves back to a time of reverence and symbiosis with horses and the sacred land.

From the secretive practices of the Society of the Horseman’s Word, the Toadmen and on to the white horses of the chalk downs, there is a diverse and extraordinary tradition of reverence and co existence with horses. They created a bridge between worlds, our relationship with the horse is deep and rooted in ancient history, a history full of magic and manipulation. They were also companions of the gods

We will also get the opportunity to see the museum and the magical horse artifacts held there.

The workshop is on May 25th, and this first Face in the Trees workshop at the museum is at the special price of £85. The day will run from 10am to 4pm. There is a maximum of 15 places.
