Witch play this Wednesday – no play on Sunday 14th August
If you haven’t seen “Witch” – a new play by Circle of Spears Productions – it will be performed again in the library on Wednesday 17th August. There will be two performances that night: one at 5pm and one at 8pm. Tickets are very limited and are £10 per person. The play is suitable for children aged 12 or over and lasts around an hour.
The play considers the case of a woman accused of witchcraft by her neighbour. She is dragged before the local magistrate to answer the “evidence” against her. It is very tense, historically accurate and thought provoking. All the feedback from audience’s has been incredibly positive, it even moved one person to tears!
The acting is so fantastic, Tom the Museum dog tried to interfere during a violent scene in rehearsals! He leapt to defend the “witch” from her accusers (and delivered a nasty nip to Mark). The moment was caught on camera (below).
