All Hallow’s Eve
We had an amazing time last year. We will be doing it again on Saturday October 29th. This year will be even bigger and better with a lantern procession and six osses! If you missed it last year, here are some photos to give you an idea of what happens – it is such a unique event and a great way to welcome the dark half of the year! Keep an eye on our blog and events pages for more details about this year’s event. We also have a Facebook event page:
The day started around 2pm with morris dancing outside the Museum.
The photos below were taken by Gillian Nott (Friend of the Museum).
As it started to get dark, the crowds gathered and the osses approached. At the Museum door, they performed a pwnco ceremony to bless the Museum.
Then the osses and their retinues joined the morris sides outside for some flame lit dances.
we decorated the Harbour with pumpkins and held a candlelit evening at the Museum (which finished at 11pm) to end the evening. The osses toured the public houses of Boscastle. Everyone had an amazing time – can’t wait for this year! Not long to go now. Thanks to everyone involved especially Cassandra Latham Jones.
