This handsome pewter pendant depicts the head of Baphomet as envisaged by the 19th century occultist Eliphas Levi – an eerie stylised goat’s head with a flame between his horns.
Eliphas Levi described Baphomet as the “sphinx of the occult sciences” – a symbol of the cosmic forces at work in the natural world, and the connection between humans and Nature. Baphomet is also related to the Horned God of some forms of Modern Pagan Witchcraft.
