The Spells and Charms within this booklet have been compiled by the museum staff with some written by Cecil Williamson, the founder of the museum and others sourced by the current Director, Simon Costin.
Please be aware that many of the older charms may seem quite barbaric to us now, especially in their relationship to animals, but blood and organs would have been a bi-product of animals which would have been eaten at the time.
This A5 booklet contains 13 pages of charms and spells.
