Mano Cornuto (Horns) Hand Amulet Pendant

£10.00

This pendant consists of a pewter hand amulet in the Mano Cornuto (Horns) gesture on a chain.

These protection charms are very popular in the Mediterranean region, particularly Italy. There are several examples in the Museum’s collection. The gesture imitates the horns of an animal, and so is thought to ward off evil. Some Modern Witches also regard it as a symbol of the Horned God.

Made in Cornwall specially for the Museum. The amulet is approximately 2.5cm (1″) tall.
