Made as a collaboration between Pollock’s Toy Museum and The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic (MWM). The MWM is based in Boscastle, North Cornwall and explores British magical practices, making comparisons with other systems of belief, from ancient times to the present day. Made in 2021, by Jack Fawdry Tatham the original print is an etching with aquatint and was printed in the basement of Pollock’s Toy Museum using the same technique that was used by Mr Pollocks and his predecessors 200 years ago. Jack took inspiration from the MWM collection and the folk tales of Cornwall to create this new magic toy theatre. 

The original artwork has then been transferred to a litho printing press to be reproduced on a larger scale, but retaining the quality of the original. Printed in the Brighton, England by Generation press, with premium Italian paper this theatre is the highest quality toy theatre we have produced.  

This Theatre comes flat and needs to be constructed, using cutting, folding and glueing. It can also be coloured in or left black and white. It comes with a full set of characters and scene changes for you to stage your own stories.
