The rites on this cassette can, with a few practice run-throughs, be performed 'live', with the performers saying the given words on the cassette. Their primary function however, is to allow them to be done as visualisations, that is to say, with the ritualist sitting quietly, relaxing in order to change consciousness, then following the ritual through in the mind's eye and 'performing' it in imagination.
