He starts with its use by English Witches in their spells and incantations, and continues by describing how it is currently used as protection against them in the Hebrides. In China is was used for divination. Yarrow allegedly has many medicinal uses, including its use as a rheumatism remedy, to prevent hair from falling out, and to heal wounds caused by items such as swords and spears. It was also used as a cure for influenza when mixed with Elder Flowers and peppermint.
