We regret that dogs are not permitted in the Museum. 

We are independent and not part of The National Trust.

The Museum does not operate a concessions scheme.

We do not have public rest rooms.

Children visiting the Museum do so solely at the discretion of accompanying adults.

Parking

There is no parking at the Museum. The Harbour area, where the Museum is located, is largely pedestrianised with permit parking for local businesses only.

There is no disabled parking at the museum. Disabled drop off only.

Parking is at The Cobweb Carpark (operated by Cornwall Council) in the village. Click here for more information.Visitors who attempt to park in the tiny harbour area will be asked to move.

Opening hours 10:00 – 17:30 ( last entry 16:30 ).

Open from early April (check date with front page of website) to October 31st 2026.

Prices for entry:

We work hard to provide best value prices for entry. The MWM receives no public subsidy or public funds from UK or Local Govt.

£8 – Adults aged 18 and above.

£5 – Children aged 6-17 years.

£0 – Children under 5.

Wheelchair Disabled visitors who are unable to visit the upper floors independently will not be charged. All Carers will be charged at the prevailing rate for adults and children for entry to the Museum. There are no other concessions.

Dogs policy

Working assistance dogs only. No other dogs – or pets- are admitted to the public areas of the museum under any circumstances.

In brief: The Museum is a 5 minute, flat walk from the village car park. Public toilets are located main village car park. There is NO parking outside the museum; Disabled (drop-off) only.

Unfortunately we are by definition not an accessible building. The Museum is located in stone built historic premises, in a conservation area, with narrow stone doorways unsuitable for wheelchairs.
