Four corners around the circle I, II, III, IIII. In the circle numbers 1 to 12, 13 in the middle. Counter-clockwise letters a to m, in the middle clockwise a to m. Ter verduidelijking van Aant. [for clarification of notes] 1950, fol. 70d, documentatie § 9/1950: It has been suggested that a bakers dozen of 13 really means The Devils dozen and is derived from Bouccas dozen, Boucca being an old name for a god or spirit, surviving in the buccas of Cornish lore to the present, &c.
