3965 – Bat candleholder

Physical description:
Large, heavy brass bat candle-holder with a circular aperture at the top of the body for placing a candle. The bat's face is well defined. The bat's wings are extended in flight, and there are small rings at the wings and tail so that it could be suspended on chains. Good condition; although clearly used and discoloured.
