Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand was a famous French cartomancer, who had a forty-year career in the first half of the 19th century. After her death a number of card decks were produced that claimed to have been used by her. Since her nephew destroyed all her magic-related objects when she died, it is difficult to know how authentic these claims are.
