Original text by Cecil Williamson: 'Witches in the west country make much use of wish stones. These they hold in the palm of their left hand and with the thumb they rub the stone with a forward movement. This they do in synchronization to the rhythm of a chanted or muttered spell. An important tool and must for most working witches.
