- Pair of silver-plated chalices with slightly flared shape, elaborately embossed stems, other engraved decoration, and hand-engraved inscriptions in magical scripts.

One chalice is inscribed 'Circe' in Theban round the base; the other is inscribed 'Merlin' in Theban round the base, and has other inscriptions written round the rim. The inscriptions round the rim have been located in 'The Book of Shadows of the Kingstone Wicca'. This credits them as being (top line) 'The Signs of the Wine Chalice' and (bottom line) 'The Kingstone / Silver Crescent Aspergilus Signs'.

The Theban alphabet is given in Henry Cornelius Agrippa's 'Three Books of Occult Philosophy' (the Third Book). He claimed his source was the late 13th/early 14th century writer Peter of Abano. It was beleived to have been originally introduced into magic by Honorius of Thebes, the 13th century co-author (with the Angel Hocroel) of the 'Sworn Book'.- Resource:
