4232 – Offering Plate

Physical description:
A small plate made of red clay, partially glazed in turquoise, with a symbol, apparently a spirit seal, inlaid into the surface of the plate by inscribing the shape into the clay and then applying a paler glaze. The letters JSK are written on the bottom of the plate in blue - presumably Jake Stratton-Kent's initials.

Part of a collection of objects bequeathed to the Museum by Jake Stratton-Kent, who died on 17th January 2023.

According to information provided with the bequest:

'As a folk necromancer Jake worked with the spirits of the Grimorium Verum.... An offering plate, perhaps the seal is of the spirit Fleruty.'
