You do not need access to our document archives to search either the Collection, or Library.

You will only need the document archive if you are researching someone who has deposited documents, or for whom the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic has archived papers relating to craft history in a biographical sense.

The Document Archive is not a primary source for writing on occult or craft matters; for this purpose use The Library – contact is via the museum email.

For Alex Sanders Correspondence – Search The Archive. This function requires prior registration.

If you wish to view the Document Archives, you must first complete the contact form below.

We will then email you a form which has several questions and requires your signature.

Charges for copies of documents, where we are able to provide them, range from £12 single scan, £5 per additional copy, to £45 per hour to cover staff time ( when available ).

After making contact please be patient as Museum staff will need to review your request – this can take up to 14 working days.
