A detailed history of Egypt from the Fourth to the Eleventh Dynasties. There are some references to Ancient Egyptian magic.

Wallis Budge's translation of the Egyptian Book of the Dead (published in 1895) had a considerable influence on occult groups such as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

Incidentally, Wallis Budge was Cornish - born in Bodmin in 1857.
