Tape 1 of Alex Sanders Tapes 26/07/2001
Stored in Alex Sanders Box 1.
'The Machine' - Both Alex Sanders and Derek Taylor possessed metal disks that they called 'The Machine' or their 'time machines'. The large disk was used by Alex, and the smaller one by Derek. At one time Alex had the disk connected to a home-made accumulator or condenser battery but details of how the machine worked were sketchy. Alex would, apparently lay, stand or sit on his disk and enter into a trance state whilst Derek, his scribe, would tape-record the events for later transcription...
These particular 'trance' recordings were made using 'The Machine' in 1985. Alex Sanders enters a trance state, becoming the Extraterrestrial being 'The Avatar' from Ganymede and communicates with Derek Taylor. In the first tape, 'The Avatar tells Alex the specific components needed to construct a condenser battery to power 'The Machine' to enable space or time travel.
