A modern translation of one of the essential works of Rosicrucianism.
Part of the publisher's Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks series.
The book is apparently written by Christian Rosenkreutz, a legendary figure believed to have studied mystery traditions in the Middle East in the early 15th century. It certainly appears to have been influenced by Sufism and Zoroastrianism. However, it was first published in 1616, and may be the work of a member of the Rosicrucian movement called J.V. Andreae.
