4294 – Goddess Figure

Physical description:
A Goddess figure made of a terracotta coloured ceramic (quite heavy). She resembles a Black Madonna, but probably represents Erzulie Dantor, a Voodoo Goddess with a close connection to the Virgin Mary. Erzulie Dantor is sometimes referred to as the Voodoo Black Madonna. She is wearing a gold coronet and a long blue cloak, and has a gold cross hanging from her neck. She is quite simply modelled, perhaps by the Voodoo Priest himself.
