Physical description:
Athame with black papier mache handle with horned top, decorated in gold with ivy on one side and oak leaves on the other, plus other symbols and runes. Blade has symbols in black and gold. Green suede sheath.

Brownie Pate got this athame from Cecil Williamson. It was kept with Henry the skull (no. 1652). Note the oak and ivy motif.

A replica of this athame was made for an episide of the TV detective series 'Dalziel and Pascoe'. To avoid confusion the replica was donated to Simon Costin for the Museum of British Folklore.
