Original text by Cecil Williamson: 'Look, and look again. No, this broomstick does not come from Egypt. No, it was made by a Cornish witch living at Chyanddor, near Penzance. The materials, it is said, came to her from friends in Tresco, Isles of Scilly, but the interesting thing about this witch's broomstick is the provision of a candle-holder at the top end of the handle. Yes, the lady has danced with it at night in the fairy field at Trewoofe.'
