3752 – Car Mezuza (or Mezuzah) from Jerusalem

Physical description:

Small gold coloured object with clear section to see into scroll. This object has a sticky label on the back to affix it to the car. Another scroll is on a small piece of paper. This all comes in a plastic dark red box with clear front.

Contains a scroll with Hebrew text which translates as: "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."  Psalms xci

Traditionally hung in doorways to fulfill a Biblical commandment to inscribe the words of the God on the doorways of the house.  It can also be seen as serving an amuletic function, protecting the doorway of the house and protecting the occupants from Divine Anger.
