2121 – ‘Devil’ Mask

Physical description:: Large fibreglass mask with a devilish face and clear glass beads for eyes. looks to be of Eastern or African origin, there are lizards/salamanders on his cheeks and serpents around his brow/horns. A creature with human face and rams horns adorns his brow.

Information:: A couple, who felt this item to be disturbing, donated this mask in 2000. No further provenance was given.

Resin witch resembling carved wood. Witch is on a broomstick, very hag-like brown face, dynamic pose holding on to her black pointy hat, black cloak, billowing brown dress, black shoes.

Large incense burner consisting of an unglazed clay beehive-shape on a black metal stand, with a clay container to hold charcoal. From Charles Wade's collection at Snowshill Manor (without the beehive top which is a later addition).
