The upside down cross is a forgotten Christian symbol once held in high esteem. It was Saint Peter who asked to be crucified upside down for a noble reason.
The symbol is used in occult films and by those wishing to shock. It is not generally used by occultists.

One of these crosses went missing from the Museum in 2016.
