Size:
150 x 50 x 15 mm
Information:

Poppets (dolls) are commonly used for healing rather than cursing. This wax poppet is ideal for distant healing. A pin could be used to lance a boil or ointments could be rubbed on afflicted limbs. It is best to have the patient's permission before performing any type of healing magic on them. Not so for curses!
A visitor to the museum, Debbie Clark, who used to live in a house in Haddon Grove, Sale, Cheshire, says that they found two walnut shells in the chimney, bound with fine rag, and each containing a tiny wax figure.
