Turquoise-coloured Ancient Egyptian amulet ring, made from faience, in the shape of a curled-up snake, probably a cobra. It has incised eyes and lines suggesting scales.

In Ancient Egypt the cobra was a powerful protection symbol. A rearing cobra featured on the Pharaoh's crown and the headdress of the Goddess Sekhmet. This ring also resembles the Ouroboros serpent of Egyptian alchemy.
Very similar to MoW 2661, but slightly smaller and paler.
