[see notes] 1950, fol. 293, aanvulling [supplement] 3, § 15, The Sephirot (manifestations of God during the Creation): The cabbalists alleged that God is contained in Adam Kadmon, the primeval man and the human form foreshadows everything that is on earth and in Heaven. By extrapolation they built a permanent system of correspondences between the different parts of the body (and in particular the hands) and the planetary signs, translated into the letters and numbers of tradition, &c. Bij Aant. [with notes] 1950, fol 322, aanvulling [supplement] XII: Een volledig in de Hebreeuwse taal uitgevoerde, overigens eenvoudige grafsteen,waaraan in het bijzonder de handen van de Cohen (priester) zijn, uitgehouwen in de steen. Het zal duidelijk zijn dat de vingers op een speciale wijze zijn gespreid. Het graf dateert uit 5583, eerste helft 19e eeuw, en is van rabbijn Daniel Cohen dAzeveo [An entirely in the Hebrew language executed, simple, gravestone, on which are very special the hands of the Cohen (priest), chiselled in the stone. It will be obvious that the fingers are spread ina special way.
