Angelic scrying mirror - concave Dark Mirror in a wide wooden frame with the names of four angels in gold and a six pointed star of David above.

Angelic Scrying Mirror. The design is first recorded in the Grimoire ‘The Magus or Celestial Intelligencer’ created by Francis Barrett and first published in 1801. Witches and magicians always prefer to make their own equipment imbued with their personal energy. This is an excellent example of a practical, home-made tool for working ritual magic.
The British Museum has an Aztec obsidian dark mirror that was acquired and used by John Dee, and the Science Museum has a convex dark mirror (referred to as a 'Claude glass') thought to have belonged to him.

The four angels are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel
