- Notes:
A charming children's book based on Cornish folklore, and written by a famous 19th century Cornish storyteller.
Enys Tregarthen's real name was Nellie Sloggett. She lived in Padstow, and was housebound for most of her life as a result of a degenerative illness. This led to her spending much of her time listening to the folktales and other local lore of her fellow Padstonians. For more folklore collected by her, see Alex Langstone's From Granite to Sea, Museum Library id. no. 398.094237 LAN 8227.
