- Notes:
A remarkable account of Crowley and his magic, by someone who not only seems to have known Crowley well, but also brings considerable insight to the subject.
The book also has some very striking illustrations, some of them pictures by Crowley himself. The frontispiece is a very expressive drawing of Crowley by Augustus John (who seems to have drawn Crowley at least three times), and the dust jacket (from a painting by Crowley) is also quite something.
From the library of Paul Newman, author of The Tregerthen Horror: Aleister Crowley, DH Lawrence and Peter Warlock in Cornwall (Museum Library id. no. 133.4092 CRO NEW 4431).
