4223 Box of Charms

Physical description:
A small box, an elongated oval in shape, made of a light brown substance, probably horn, with a wooden base, tiny round-headed nails around the bottom edge, a cross carved out of bone (?) fixed to one side, and a lid with a small skull carved from bone (?) as a knob. The box contains eighteen small charms: a wishbone; a crucifix; a sacred heart medallion; a Christ medallion; four nails (one bent into a loop); a very ornate silver key; three bones, probably vertebrae (from a snake?); a long thin bone; a tiny round bone; a skull similar to the one on the lid; an elongated silver skull; a skull carved from dark wood; an eliptical bead made from horn or wood.
