4228 – Thick Pointed Wand Jake Stratton-Kent

- A very thick wand, carved into a point at one end, and with various letters and symbols carved into it. There is an incised line across the flat end, and also traces of red and larger patches of thin green paint on the body of the wand.

Part of a collection of objects bequeathed to the Museum by Jake Stratton-Kent, who died on 17th January 2023.
According to information provided with the bequest:
'As a folk necromancer Jake worked with the spirits of the Grimorium Verum. [This wand] is inscribed with APEP and NUIT, showing the influence of Thelemic magic on Jake's practice and used in the performance of Liber Pyramidos, a rite of self initiation which Jake worked extensively.'
