4239 – Islamic Bronze Seal Amulet

Physical description:: A small seal / amulet, made of lightly patinated bronze, with a round base inscribed with an Islamic magical text, within a decorative border. The handle section is pierced with three small round holes, with another hole at the top suggesting it could be worn hung from a chain or cord. There is currently a modern ring through the hole. C. 11th - 12th century AD. Excavated in Syria.

4238 – Islamic Bronze Hand Amulet

An amulet pendant, in light-coloured bronze similar to patinated brass, in the shape of a hand held with the thumb and second finger touching.There are four curved lines enclosing a circle on the palm. Islamic, c. 10th - 11th century AD. It is currently hanging from a later chain.

2398 – Taweez amulet pendant

Circular pendant with suspension ring at top. At the centre is a grid of nine squares each with a symbol inside it. A charm of the kind known as a taweez.
