Museum classification:

Size:

Information:

This pentacle pendant was crafted by a student of Christopher Penczak in 2003 who now wishes to remain anonymous, going only by the initial J, as she crafted it while a freshman  in a local Boston Massachusetts  art and jewelry school and she has since gone onto to be a custom artist in the world of fine diamond jewelry and as received some backlash for her associations with the occult. The piece was given in trade for teaching on esoteric themes and how to include such themes in art and jewelry, as the designer specialized in astrological oriented jewelry soon afterward. The pentacle itself is crafted from silver, and J and Christopher chose the gemstones together procuring them from the vendors of the Jewelers Building Boston. Around the points are green garnet, yellow topaz, amethyst, aquamarine,  and ruby. The final central piece is moldavite, from the Heaven & Earth company of Vermont. It was part of his regalia at his initiation as a High Priest in the Cabot Tradition of Witchcraft with Laurie Cabot on August 3, 2008, along side rock musician Sully Erna, also obtaining his third degree HP initiation in the tradition. Christopher wore the piece regularly in teaching and celebrating sabbats, as well as much of daily life from 2003 until 2009, when the center was damaged in a microburst event during the Chyrsalis Moon festival in Indiana in 2009. Repaired later in the year, the same part broke again in 2010, and taking that as a sign, the pentacle was slowly phased out of his magickal jewelry and tools.

Christopher Penczak is a modern Witch working in the Temple of Witchcraft tradition and community he helped co-found as a writer, teacher, and minister. His practice focuses on the intersection of Love, Will, and Wisdom as an ethos for today’s Witch, and focuses upon relationships with the plant realm, the patterns of astrology, traditional occultism, and the use of trance in the Craft. As a community leader, Christopher was first ordained in the Universal Brotherhood Movement, Inc (2000) as an independent minister, initiated as High Priest in the Cabot Tradition of Witchcraft (2008) alongside Sully Erma of the rock band Godsmack, served as the secretary for Gifts of Grace Foundation, and director of publicity for the Between the Worlds Queer Pagan Brotherhood Festival. Through his teachings, Christopher was a founding member of the Coven of a New Dawn (1999-2009), co-founder of the gay men’s group The Circle of the Sacred Thyrsus (2006-2010), a guest teacher in the Cabot Academy of Witchcraft, and was a part time faculty member of the North Eastern Institute of Whole Health.
