4230 – Spirit Pot
- Physical description:
- A shallow pot with a (sealed) lid, glazed a shiny purple colour, and probably originally a small casserole. The lid is notably less shiny than the body, and is inscribed with words and symbols using red paint. When the pot is tilted small objects can be heard moving inside it.

Part of a collection of objects bequeathed to the Museum by Jake Stratton-Kent, who died on 17th January 2023.
According to information provided with the bequest:
'As a folk necromancer Jake worked with the spirits of the Grimorium Verum.... Three Spirit Pots (sealed) which have been used for spell work with the Verum spirits and bear their names and/or seals.... Purple spirit pot, probably a casserole dish, with the same seal formula as the green pot. This one ruled by ASTAROTH with a seal of her subordinate spirit NEBIROS, spelled here with the variant NEBIROTS.'
