Main image shows Medea in a chariot drawn by dragon-serpents on a cloud. Medea points to the scene of murder; her two sons by Jason lie dead before the building from whose doorway floods fire and smoke. Inside but not seen, are Glauce and her father King Creon, burning alive: Glauce's wedding gown had been enchanted by Medea to catch fire.
