Patrons’ builds on the successes of the original Friends’ scheme but brings the administration in house.
Our Patrons are the lifeblood of the Museum and over the years have been responsible for funding major projects such as Project Lucifer – installation of LED lighting throughout the Museum; Museum Doors – an Engagement Project for children; and an ongoing infrastructure project which continues in the Library and Document archive. This keeps us very busy in the winter months, when the museum is closed but our work continues.
The contribution that comes from our Patrons also helps to ensure we can mount an exhibition each year – and for 2025:-
THE CIRCLE OF THE WISE – Alexandrian Witchcraft. The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic is proud to announce a groundbreaking new exhibition showcasing an extraordinary selection of magical objects from the private collection of renowned witch and occultist Maxine Sanders. Many of these artefacts, rich in esoteric history and ritual significance, have never been seen before by the public.
Your contributions also help us make further additions where possible to the Collections.
Each year we will be bringing you as standard an Annual Season ticket, and an invitation to an end of season social – Patrons’ Day – in early November, after the Museum closes to the general public.
Patrons’ Day is exclusively for Patrons; there will be no members of the public in attendance. We will be opening our doors to you and showcasing objects chosen especially from our stores not generally on display. You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Museum Director and Staff. Later in the day, we’re excited to be hosting our popular ‘Witches’ Dance’ evening social for those who wish in to spend an evening in Boscastle.
A single membership costs £25.00. Upon registration, your digital ticket will be emailed to you, and can be downloaded to your phone or device. There is no need to book; just arrive. In holiday periods, please expect the Museum to be busy.
We’ll be revealing our plans and sharing the Museum news throughout the year with you on our social media channels and via the Museum Blog, which is found at museumofwitchcraftandmagic.co.uk.
We look forward to welcoming Patrons old and new to the Museum and to seeing you in early November.
Best wishes and thanks ever,
The MWM Team
