Sterling Silver Cimaruta pendant with black cord

MWM interwoven with Key, Moon, Star and Heart with flowers and leaves 5 x 5.5cm

Commonly found in Italian folk magic, the cimaruta was often hung to protect infants in their cradles. More recently, it has been associated with the Society of Diana and Charles Leland’s ‘Aradia’.

The name cimaruta is Italian for rue sprig. The herb rue has been used for magical protection since Roman times.
